If we are going to say that the creation of new life is one that, for 9 months, is entirely the responsibility of the mother and entirely not the responsibility of a father, we have to come up with a really good reason for the father receiving the exact same amount of responsibility when the baby does pop from the womb.

The only way to have the gift of faith is to receive it, and God offers this gift to us freely. Once we receive faith, however, it remains our task to nourish it and to protect it from all that could harm it. Along with the graces of the sacraments we nourish faith most especially with the word of Sacred Scripture.

protect him for he knows my name.
When he calls I shall answer: “I am with you.”
I will save him in distress and give him glory.
